MRCVS, BVMS, MSc.Pharm
Dr. Iden grew up on the Alberta countryside surrounded by furry creatures. As a ‘lifer’ in post- secondary education she completed a BSc in Zoology in Edmonton and then an MSc in Pharmacology before heading to sunny San Diego to work in the Biotechnology industry as a Scientist. However, her passion was always in the Veterinary world and she eventually followed her roots to the UK and absorb the British culture along with a top notch Veterinary Education.
She lived in Glasgow, Scotland for nearly 9 years making the most amazing friends and getting an Education in Scottish culture on top of my Education as a Vet. As a former gymnast and diver she became a member of the University of Glasgow Trampoline club and traveled to competitions all over the UK and Europe. Now she spends most of her time outside of work driving her daughter Esme (8) and son Finlay (11) to diving and gymnastics practices and can be found in the bleachers on most days.
Dr. Iden qualified as a Veterinarian in 2009 and worked in small Animal Practice as a locum around the Glasgow area until moving back across the pond. In the lower mainland, she has worked in a variety of small Animal practices throughout Vancouver and Surrey. She has a special interest in Emergency and Internal Medicine, and Neurology and is known for her boundless compassion and dedication to patient and client care.
Last year she finally rented a pet friendly place and is slowing building the family Zoo with the adoption of two former patients from the SPCA- a frisky but sweet Chihuahua/Boston cross called Penny and the most cuddly and patient black cat u could imagine- called Phil.
